Set up in 2015 by Patrick Fowler after more than 20 years experience in the field, from front-line to more than 10 years in strategic and senior management, Navig8 Consultancy Services can offer a wide range of project-based and interim solutions that respond to the ever-changing environment.

Client outcomes include:

• Facilitating change & unlocking new ways of working across Hampshire & Isle of Wight Integrated Care System (ICS) health, local authority, housing, care & voluntary sectors - projects include:

• Inclusion Health: Hospital in reach & primary care solutions for people experiencing homelessness, mental health 'step out' housing pathways, peer support network development, mental health workforce collaboration, chairing of important strategic partnerships including Homelessness Health Inclusion Forum and the "Minding Every Gap" reference group (focus on housing, mental health & people leaving prison).

• Keyworker Housing: Providing more affordable housing for public sector staff to support upstream resilience of services through improved recruitment & retention - development of business case for shared use of assets/land (housing market data, staff housing needs, affordability levels), mobilisation of 'here & now' support to staff securing 400+ new tenancies, formulation of cross-sector partnership workplan. Includes revenue award funding from One Public Estate programme.

• As an Associate with the Housing LIN, undertaking homelessness strategic reviews, supported housing needs assessments, care & support quality assurance reviews of extra care/supported housing services having previously brokered links (Transforming Care Partnerships) between NHS, social care & housing in different localities to create housing solutions for people with learning disabilities/autism.

• Working as an Associate with HACT, supported transformational change in supported housing pathways for people experiencing homelessness and leaving mental health inpatient services. 

• As Development Consultant, identified and ‘brought in’ properties via acquisition, lease or management agreements for Two Saints Ltd, a key Registered Provider in the homelessness/mental health sectors (300+ units).

• Healthwatch Portsmouth - led the team to inform how health & social care services were delivered through developing networks & involving local people in the review of patient experience.

• Led development of catering strategy for new-build extra care scheme for Winchester City Council & successfully co-ordinated procurement of a new and improved alarm monitoring centre service.

• Confidential reviews of extra care service configuration and strategic review of alarm monitoring / telecare services.

• Undertaken work overseas, volunteering for street children charities based in Brazil and Romania to enable them to research and better understand the causes of child homelessness and find longer-term solutions and routes off the street away from this dangerous and exploitative environment.

Patrick is also really pleased to be a volunteer External Member of the City of London's Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Sub Committee..
